![]() For many, this is the exact purpose of the Hobonichi planner. Personally, I love the utility of a simple logbook of tasks, events, and random little things that happen during the day. It's a planner, but also serves as a logbook. There have been several times that I've forgotten exactly what I did throughout the week when it's time to fill out my timesheet, and the archive always helps me remember. I remember loving the fact that I could tear off the previous day's sheet in the morning - felt like the perfect way to mentally start afresh for the coming day - but I've come to appreciate the utility of having those previous days in the same notebook. For me, it ends up being a 4 month book since I don't use it on the weekends. I haven't put the notebook through hell, but I know it could take a lot of abuse if needed.Ĥ6 sheets mean you can plan about 3 months of stuff in one book. The covers are plain black vinyl with no branding and the spirals are doubled and very sturdy. It's small enough to stay out of the way on my desk, but large enough to adequately plan my day and react to changes that pop up. It's the size of a regular Rhodia (or Moleskine) notebook, which I've always enjoyed. Despite the smaller amount of planning and notes space, I love the size and utility of this notebook. But, after using the smaller ETP notebook for several months, it's won me over. The original Emergent Task Planner (ETP for short) pad uses smooth, fountain pen friendly paper and does a great job for a full-sized pad. In fact, I've pretty much abandoned the larger pad in favor of the smaller notebook. With that in mind, I love the 5.8" x 8.5" spiral bound Emergent Task Planner even more. The previous review was about the 8.5" x 11" pad, and I love it. I've written about the Emergent Task Planner by David Seah before. Writing things on paper can take many forms and happen for various reasons. You can find more from Jeff online at Draft Evolution and Twitter.) ![]() XDefiant does not currently have a release date. At the time of writing, the game is approaching an Open Session beta and many players are trying to game out for themselves. ![]() The string of cancellations left some fans concerned about the future of XDefiant, but judging from this latest playtest, it seems the game is still moving forward. A specific release date for XDefiant has not yet been set, but Ubisoft has confirmed it is targeting Summer, 2023. Ubisoft announced it had canceled three, unnamed projects back in January, and had previously canceled four other games, including the free-to-play battle royale Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Frontline and a Splinter Cell VR game, since July 2022. XDefiant, the one-time Tom Clancy branded free-to-play shooter from Ubisoft, is holding another closed Insider test later this week, this one marking the first time. The game wasn't included as part of the publisher's Ubisoft Forward 2022 event, and the previous XDefiant playtest was back in October 2022, after which little has been heard about it. Ubisoft has been relatively quiet about XDefiant since the game's original announcement. Despite featuring factions from various Tom Clancy games, XDefiant no longer sports the Tom Clancy branding. The XDefiant release date for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series XS is understandably something fans want to know, now that the closed beta for the game is out. It puts an emphasis on fast-paced combat and tight gunplay, but unlike Call of Duty, features various classes to choose from inspired by factions across Ubisoft's Tom Clancy game universe. As with previous XDefiant tests, this one will still be under a non-disclosure agreement, meaning players will not be allowed to livestream or record footage of the game in action.Įver since its reveal in the summer of 2021, XDefiant has drawn numerous comparisons to Call of Duty, with the game's executive producer Mark Rubin having previously worked on Activision's juggernaut FPS franchise. On the whole, video white balance is very acceptable, although adaptation under changing lighting conditions can be slow, resulting in a visible change in the color matrix. The S8’s color has also been improved with respect to the Samsung S7’s video capabilities, with generally accurate color rendering. The S8 is also capable of good autofocus tracking on panning videos or during walking movement. Video autofocus is fast, smooth, and generally accurate in all lighting conditions.
